Things and Stuff

Hello out there on the interwebs! I’ve been thinking about my blog all week, trying to come up with something relevant to say, and I am drawing a blank.

Yeah, Hillary had to end her campaign last week and that pissed me off (though it did not surprise me at all). Now we have to wrap our heads around voting for Obama and wonder and wait until he chooses a running mate. Hmph.

The anti-gay-marriage people are flooding millions of dollars into California to try and stop the legal same-sex weddings that are about to begin. In Merced and Kern counties the county clerks will cease marrying everyone just so they don’t have to marry same sex couples. Isn’t that nice and non-discriminatory of them? However, in LA county, the county clerk is opening extra offices to accommadate everyone. They're even opening special "auxillary offices" for a few months in West Hollywood and the like.

Then there’s all the depressing and continuous discussion of the lousy economy, the crazy prices we’re all paying for gas and food that seem to be on every news show every day all day no matter what. I’ve stopped watching for now. It makes my head hurt.

So, there are all these big things going on and I can’t think of anything I would really like to write to you about this week. Call it summer apathy, I suppose. Maybe I’m feeling a little lost without school to force me to focus and work ‘til I drop. I don’t know.

In lieu of writing about anything of substance, I give you…

more pictures of my garden!

Enjoy

We finally picked the carrots. Um....yeah.

Awww, to heck with carrots! We're gonna have strawberries now. So there.

And herbs. Lots and lots of herbs.

Skip-The-Flying-Pug thinks this is all a great idea.

Yeah, I hear you on the not feeling the blogging. Still working and I have lots to say but I can't seem to buckle down and sit and write.

XOXO - can't wait to see you soon.

I totally understand your summer blahs. Top it off with the death of Tim Russert and the depression is fierce.

Sorry about your carrots, but the herbs look good. Can't wait to see strawberry pictures.

Skip is really cute. It he yours too? I love pugs.

Go CA on the gay marriage issue! Finally. I just don't understand what all the fuss is about. Live and let live.

Hugs,
Kim

Hi Cherry Red!

Yup, Skip is our little bundle of energy. I've never seen a dog that can literally go non-stop all day like she does. She LOVES to play with her tug rope. :) She looks kind of old in the pic, but she's a little over a year. Ninja is a Jindu (a breed from Korea) and she spends most of her time outside hoping a squirrel will fall into her mouth. They are both sweeties.

the other night i had a dream about your carrots. i dreamed that i found them all growing in the window, only they were above ground and quite big. i really should not eat spicy foods and read blogs before bed.
