Alas, I am about to be a student at Cal State Northridge not UCLA. (sigh) I was so wishing that I had more of an understanding of the influences some of these artists were responding to. I was just thinking the other night that I would love to take an art history class that deals with contemporary art. <BR/>Maybe CSUN will have some such thing when I get there in the fall. I know there will be more general ed requirements to be filled. :)<BR/><BR/>If you can cook up any reason to come to L.A. before the show closes you really should. It sounds so amazing, just the idea of the curator to bring these artists together. By the way, are you a student at UCLA? If so, that means you can take classes at UC Irvine? If so some of my grad. student friends are teaching modern/contemporary art history classes there over the summer, and they are serious feminists (I'm in awe of them!).
